Some of the worst builds we’ve seen came from the biggest names.
Why?
Because somewhere between middle management, marketing, and that poor fella in IT… the brief died a slow and painful death.
We’ve all seen them.
💥 Fintech platforms that look like they were designed in a boardroom and tested on no one.
💥 Forex sites that hit you with 4 pop-ups, a 14-step registration, and a colour palette that could start a migraine.
💥 Dashboards that somehow make everything harder.
You’d think big budget = brilliant build.
But honestly? Some of the slickest, smartest platforms we’ve worked on came from small, scrappy teams who actually talked to each other.
Less ego, more ownership.
Less “stakeholder feedback,” more “does this actually work?”
Find an agency where the team is tight-knit and works closely, with founders, marketers, and devs in the same room (or Slack thread).
It means tighter feedback loops, clearer thinking, and platforms that don’t just look nice, they work.
And when the brief is actually understood by the team executing it?
Magic happens.
So no, bigger doesn’t always mean better.
Sometimes, it just means more people to nod at meetings before everything goes sideways.
